Customizing Onboarding for Distribution Partners
Turris allows you to customize the onboarding experience for your agency distribution partners, collecting exactly the information you need while maintaining flexibility for different partner types.

Available Customization Categories
The platform currently offers four main categories for onboarding customization:
- Cyber Policy Requirements
- Product and State Selection
- Payment Details
- Custom Questions
Configuring Standard Requirements
Cyber Policy Collection
Control whether agencies must provide cyber liability insurance documentation:
- Toggle this requirement ON or OFF
- When optional, agencies can choose whether to upload
- When required, agencies must provide documentation to complete onboarding
Product and State Selection Page
Manage how agencies select their operating parameters:
- When ENABLED: Agencies specify which products they'll sell and in which states
- When DISABLED: Agencies automatically get access to all products in all states where they're licensed
- This setting helps control distribution and ensure proper compliance from the start
Payment Details
Configure commission payment information collection:
- Enable to collect banking and payment information during onboarding
- Useful for MGAs paying commissions directly
- Can be made optional or required based on your needs
Creating Custom Questions
Custom questions allow you to gather specific information unique to your business needs.
Step 1: Add a Custom Question Section
- Navigate to the custom questions area
- Click to add a new question
- Choose from the following elements:
Step 2: Configure Section Structure
Section Heading
- Create a main heading for your questions
- Example: "Business Information"
Subheading
- Add descriptive text below the heading
- Provides context for the questions that follow
Divider
- Insert visual separators between question groups
- Helps organize longer forms
Step 3: Add Question Types
Choose from multiple input types based on the information you need:
Text Input
- For open-ended text responses
- Configure:
- Label (question text)
- Tooltip (help text)
- Placeholder text
- Required/Optional status
Number Input
- For numerical data collection
- Configure:
- Label and tooltip
- Minimum value
- Maximum value
- Value type (standard number, currency, or percentage)
- Required/Optional status
Toggle
- For yes/no questions
- Simple binary choice
- Can be required or optional
Select (Dropdown)
- For multiple choice questions
- Add as many options as needed
- Agencies select from your predefined list
- Set as required or optional
Step 4: Configure Question Properties
For each question, you can set:
- Required Status: Make any field mandatory or optional
- Help Text: Add tooltips to guide users
- Validation Rules: Set min/max values for numbers
- Display Format: Choose currency or percentage for number fields

- Premium volume by state or product line
- Number of agents in the agency
- Years in business
- Specific carrier appointments held

- Keep It Relevant: Only ask for information you'll actually use

- Use Clear Labels: Make questions easy to understand
