Organizing agencies into corporate hierarchies helps you manage complex distribution relationships. This guide shows you how to link subsidiaries, branches, and parent companies to reflect real-world organizational structures.

Understanding Branch Relationships

Branch structures in Turris allow you to:

  • Connect subsidiaries to parent companies
  • Link branch offices to main agencies
  • Maintain organizational hierarchies

Common Scenarios

You'll typically use this feature when:

  • A subsidiary joins before their parent company
  • Multiple branch offices operate under one agency
  • Corporate restructuring occurs
  • You need to track ownership relationships
  • Commission structures follow corporate hierarchies

Step-by-Step Setup Process

Step 1: Access the Branch Setting

  1. Navigate to the agency you want to designate as a branch
  2. Locate the branch/corporate structure settings
  3. Click to edit the relationship

Step 2: Designate as Branch

  1. Select the option to set this agency as a branch
  2. The system will prompt you to choose a parent
  3. This converts the agency from standalone to branch status

Step 3: Select Parent Organization

  1. A list of available agencies appears
  2. Search or scroll to find the parent company
  3. Select the appropriate parent organization
  4. Example: "York" as the parent company

Step 4: Set Branch Identifier

  1. Assign a branch ID if required
  2. This helps differentiate multiple branches
  3. Use consistent naming conventions
  4. Save the relationship

Managing Existing Relationships

Viewing Current Structure

  • Parent agencies show their branches
  • Branch agencies display their parent
  • Navigate between related entities easily
  • See the full organizational tree

Modifying Relationships

You can change relationships anytime:

  1. Access the branch settings
  2. Select a different parent
  3. Or remove the branch designation
  4. Save changes to update the structure

Unaffiliating Agencies

To remove a branch relationship:

  1. Navigate to branch settings
  2. Select "Remove affiliation" or "Make standalone"
  3. Confirm the change
  4. Agency returns to independent status
