Read the step-by-step guide below or check out the video walkthrough.
When you receive access to a new account, there are four essential steps you need to complete to get your account operational. This process typically takes a few minutes if you have the needed information handy.
Note: These steps may have been completed for you by our team in advance.
Step 1: Add a Producer Agreement
- Navigate to your account dashboard
- Click on "Add Producer Agreement"
- Upload your producer agreement document
- Select whether the agreement is:
- Pre-signed: Your legal representative has already signed the document, and there are no expected red lines. The agency or wholesale partner can simply sign to complete the process.
- Not pre-signed: The agency or wholesaler will sign first, followed by your legal representative (the MGA contract signatory).
- Submit for processing
Note: If your desired agreement had multiple variable fields and you'd like to discuss this with us, please reach out to ensure we process the document correctly.
Step 2: Assign the Legal Role
- Assign at least one person to the legal role
- This person will be responsible for signing producer agreements
- You can:
- Assign the role to yourself, and/or
- Add a new user and assign the legal role to them
- You may also assign other business roles as needed (detailed information about roles is available in the Account Settings tutorial)
Step 3: Add an Insurance Product
- Click on "Add Product"
- Select your product type (e.g., Commercial Auto)
- Set the commission levels
- Choose the admitted carrier (or non-admitted if necessary)
- Select the appropriate template for your product type (e.g., P&C Commercial)
Step 4: Add States with Compliance Requirements
- While adding your product, select all states where you sell your product
- The system allows you to easily select multiple states at once
- Templates are available to streamline the compliance requirements setup
- Submit your product and state configuration
After completion, your account is ready to use! For additional configuration such as adding new products, states, roles, producer agreements, or setting up API access, please refer to the Account Settings tutorial.
